It frees up both of your hands and keeps your baby close to your chest. This particular style only offers an inward view to the baby, with no option to face the baby outward. Along with that, it has some weight restrictions so your baby may grow out of it pretty quick. We didn't love the style - we've seen other versions that aren't as wide/saggy, but it gets the job done.
